Your delivery often seems harsh, but often truth is difficult to chew and digest. Regarding Alice P.'s comment, I don't think Ed is haranguing about single parents, and it is a combination of single parenthood and lack of education that has African American children, especially male ones in their current state. I, too, am a single (divorced) parent, but I did not choose to be one, because I know from the experience of coming from a broken home (parents divorced when I was 10), that children need two parents to thrive; we're not talking about mere survival--but...
