The same goes also when bringing a new pet, bet it a kitten or a dog, to your house. Imagine if they came from a shelter, and moving to place that seems quiet and empty will make them feel uneasy and sometimes neglected. It is also good to consult vets about it, especially the caretaker of the shelter to know the specific attributes of your pet so that you can adjust your treatment, and introduction to your household accordingly.
